KFI (Philippines) Incorporated
Established in Gunpo, Gyeonggi-do in 1980, Gyeongwon Industrial Co., Ltd. was the first company in Korea to develop and mass-produce magnets and piezoelectric ceramics, and was the first company to enter the Sihwa National Industrial Complex in 1991.
In the domestic market, which was a wasteland for piezoelectric ceramics, we began developing domestic production in the early 1990s. In 1996, we expanded our ceramic factory and established a corporate research institute. Through joint development with KIST, we developed piezoelectric ceramics for automotive knock sensors, winning the IR52 Jang Yeong-sil Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
In 2005, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy selected our piezoelectric ceramics as a world-class Korean product. Currently, we are No. 1 in domestic piezoelectric ceramic production.
