Product Description

On the face of every Ginebra San Miguel bottle is the iconic image of St. Michael the Archangel triumphantly defeating the devil in battle. This logo was made by renowned Filipino National Artist, Fernando Amorsolo who used this to help fund his studies abroad.

From then on, this label has helped in bringing the gin product to where its state today, the undisputed world’s best selling gin that any Filipino can be truly proud of. There is a saying that if one wants to earn a work of Amorsolo, getting a Ginebra San Miguel bottle from a nearby store would be enough.

Ginebra San Miguel is not only known as Filipino tradition but also as a major player on the world stage, as referenced by the renowned publication, The Millionaire’s Club of Drinks International. And as traditions go, apart from Ginebra San Miguel getting better in time and age, it has also helped put the Philippines on the world’s hard liquor map. It is not only the undisputed world’s largest-selling gin but also the 2nd most-sold hard liquor brand in the world (159 listed million case-selling worldwide brands).

From a family-owned Spanish-era distillery in 1834, Ginebra San Miguel has become a tradition enjoyed in the Philippines, its origin, and the world over. Imagine that about 71 bottles are consumed every minute, and that is from the Philippines alone. The Philippines accounts for about half of global gin sales, making it the world’s largest gin market.

The Filipinos’ fondness for drinking gin is mainly attributed to Ginebra San Miguel’s distinct taste, which has remained the same through the years. Its predominant flavor comes from juniper berries.

Ginebra San Miguel has been the hallmark of a true Filipino “inuman” for generations. And for just as long, neighborhood DIY bartenders have been like mad scientists expanding their mixology crafts by experimenting with fun cocktails that has a strong kick.
